Wonka script

Willy Wonka arrives in a grand city, dreams of opening a chocolate shop, but is tricked into debt-bondage by Mrs. Scrubitt and Bleacher at their laundry house. Befriending the orphan Noodle, Willy escapes to sell his chocolates, only for the powerful Chocolate Cartel to sabotage his efforts and bribe the Chief of Police. After his shop is destroyed, Willy and Noodle are captured by the Cartel and trapped in a vault, slowly submerging in a giant tank of chocolate. An Oompa Loompa, whom Willy had previously caught stealing, intervenes to save them, expose the Cartel's corruption, and help Willy establish his fantastical chocolate factory.

Dialogue examples

See, I'm something of a magician, inventor, and chocolate maker. I've spent the past seven years travelling the world perfecting my craft, and first thing tomorrow at the Galeries Gourmet, I plan to unveil my most astonishing creation yet. Prepare to be amazed as I present to you:

Willy Wonka / Scene 8

Er... don't you worry, Mr Wonka, I can see you're a man of great ingenuity and we've got just the thing for you: the Entrepreneurial Package. The room's one sovereign a night but you don't have to pay until six tomorrow. That give you long enough to earn a few pennies?

Mrs. Scrubitt / Scene 8

Well I suppose that concludes our business. I now consider your debt repaid and shall return to my beloved Loompaland -- where the cocoa beans grow in disappointingly small numbers and my friends look down on me.

Lofty / Scene 58

You think you're so clever, don't you, Wonka? Well there's a billion sovereigns of chocolate beneath our feet. We'll get the best lawyers, bribe the judge, rig the jury if we have to. We'll be fine.

Slugworth / Scene 54

When will you ever learn That you always get burned If you drop your defence, If you stop making sense, If you drop down your guard, Let them into your heart For a moment. For a moment.

Noodle / Scene 42

At last! The Galeries Gourmet! I knew that we'd see it one day. It's everything you said, Mamma, and oh! So much more! Everywhere you look another famous chocolate store.

Willy Wonka / Scene 5

Here's my destiny! I just need to unlock it. Will I crash and burn or go up like a rocket? I've got nothing to offer but my chocolate And a hatful of dreams!

Willy Wonka / Scene 5

If we're going to drown in chocolate, Noodle -- and let's face it, we're going to drown in chocolate -- then it's going to be Wonka chocolate!

Willy Wonka / Scene 48
