Nelwyn farmer Willow Ufgood is tasked with protecting thea baby, Elora Danan, prophesied to defeat the evil Queen Bavmorda, and reluctantly enlists the help of the rogue warrior Madmartigan. Guided by brownies, Willow seeks the sorceress Fin Raziel to learn magic and restore her human form while evading Bavmorda's daughter, Sorsha, who later falls for Madmartigan. After restoring Raziel, they join a rebel army to storm Nockmaar Castle and confront Queen Bavmorda in a climactic battle. Willow ultimately defeats Bavmorda using a clever magic trick, saving Elora Danan and returning home a hero.
