WALL STREET: MONEY NEVER SLEEPS script

Disgraced financier Gordon Gekko, released from prison, forms an uneasy alliance with his future son-in-law, Jacob Moore, to expose hedge fund manager Bretton Woods, whom Jacob suspects caused his mentor's suicide. As Jacob uncovers Bretton's manipulative schemes amidst the escalating global financial crisis, Gordon reveals his true intention to use Jacob to regain his fortune through his estranged daughter Winnie's trust fund. Jacob and Winnie reluctantly invest her trust in a green energy company, but Gordon betrays them by redeeming the money for himself, leaving them to rebuild their lives. Gordon Gekko re-enters the financial world, while Jacob and Winnie, now with a child, find a new path forward, having learned from the financial world's deceptions.

Dialogue examples

Here's the thing about Bretton. He puts all of his money into his own fund which makes him stupid, egotistical, and most importantly... vulnerable. And he chases. He doesn't take losses well and he chases with leverage. He thinks he's a trader, he thinks he's an investor but he's not. He's a gambler.

Gordon Gekko / Scene 40

Okay. Then I want you to build positions in your favorite three names. I want you stealth. Use all six trading desks we're in business with. And if they go down... we increase our size. See Jacob -- I don't believe in "wrong." I only believe in "not right yet."

Bretton Woods / Scene 46

The basket of stocks I'm putting together focuses on reinsurance brokering and management services for businesses. They're trading below book and have large dividends. I say we buy them here.

Jacob L. Moore / Scene 45

Marry her, Jacob. And have children with her and spend as much time as you can with them... and never forget that that's what's important.

Andrew Zabel / Scene 9

Well, it's when people repeat the same dysfunctional relationships from childhood in their adult life in hopes of trying to master them.

Winnie Gekko / Scene 43

I want you to meet one of the only men in the world who might be as rich as I am. Wait a minute... Bretton what did oil close at today?

Oleg Bakunin / Scene 34

And hopefully that's just a start. Oleg, there are so many opportunities out there right now I feel like a kid in the candy store.

Bretton Woods / Scene 36

I've been following your career, Winnie. Senator Lehigh said some very nice things about you in The American Prospect interview.

Gordon Gekko / Scene 48
