Dr. Martin Harris, a biotechnologist, arrives in Berlin with his wife, Liz, for a summit, but a taxi accident leaves him in a coma and suffering from retrograde amnesia. Upon waking, Martin discovers an impostor has assumed his identity, and his wife claims not to know him, leading him to seek help from his taxi driver, Gina, and former Stasi agent Ernst Jurgen. As Martin tries to reclaim his life, he is pursued by assassins, forcing him and Gina into a dangerous escape across Berlin, during which Jurgen reveals that Martin is a highly skilled assassin, not a biotechnologist. Martin recovers his memories, realizing he was part of a team hired to assassinate Professor Bressler and Prince Fahad, and he races to stop the plot, ultimately killing Liz and Cole, who were also involved, before escaping with Gina.
