1994
Bill Harding, a former storm chaser, returns to Oklahoma to divorce his estranged wife, Jo Wilder, but is quickly drawn back into her pursuit of tornadoes. They face a tense rivalry with Jonas Miller's team while attempting to deploy their instrument pack, Dorothy, into the powerful storms. As the tornadoes escalate, Bill and Jo rekindle their connection, working together through dangerous close calls that destroy Jonas's team. Ultimately, they successfully deploy Dorothy into an F5 tornado and survive by clinging to a pipe, solidifying their reunion and Bill's passion for Jo and the chase.
