The Seventh Seal script

A disillusioned knight, Antonius Block, returning from the Crusades, encounters Death on a desolate beach and challenges him to a game of chess to prolong his life. As Block and his cynical squire, Jons, travel through a plague-ridden land, they encounter a traveling troupe of actors, including the visionary Jof and his wife Mia, and witness a procession of flagellants. Block seeks answers about God and the meaning of life, confessing his doubts to Death disguised as a priest, while Jons exposes the hypocrisy of a former theologian, Raval, who is now a thief. The knight shares a peaceful meal with Jof and Mia, finding a moment of solace, before continuing his chess game with Death and encountering a young woman accused of witchcraft.
