Navy SEAL Shane Wolfe fails to protect Professor Charles Plummer, who is assassinated while developing a top-secret defense program called G.H.O.S.T. Shane is assigned to protect Plummer's five children and search their home for the G.H.O.S.T. program, but he struggles to manage the rebellious kids and their chaotic household. As Shane attempts to instill discipline, he uncovers a hidden vault in the Plummer home containing a decoy G.H.O.S.T. disc, which leads him to believe the real program is elsewhere. Shane bonds with the children, helping Todd pursue musical theater, Zoe learn to drive, and Lulu's Brownie troop, while also developing a romantic interest in Principal Claire Nelson.
