1996
Ashe and his son Danny are brutally murdered by crime lord Judah Earl and his gang, but Ashe is resurrected by a crow to seek vengeance. Guided by Sarah, an artist with a psychic connection to the dead, Ashe dons war paint and systematically hunts down his killers, starting with drug manufacturer Spider Monkey and videographer Nemo. Judah, aware of the Crow's return, attempts to trap Ashe by kidnapping Sarah, leading to a confrontation where Ashe battles Judah's enforcers, including Kali and Curve. Ashe ultimately confronts Judah, who has captured the crow and is torturing it, and after a struggle where Sarah is gravely wounded, Ashe uses the power of the crows to kill Judah. With his vengeance complete and Sarah dying, Ashe leaves her body in a church and finds a glimmer of hope in a young girl named Grace before he and Sarah are shown together in Limbo.
