Corporate lawyer Dave and carefree actor Mitch drunkenly wish for each other's lives and wake up the next morning having swapped bodies. Forced to live each other's lives, Mitch unexpectedly excels at Dave's law career while Dave enjoys Mitch's freedom and develops a relationship with Sabrina. The situation escalates when Dave, still in Mitch's body, is discovered with Sabrina by his wife Jamie, to whom he confesses the body swap. Dave and Mitch return to their original bodies, leading to Dave's reconciliation with Jamie and Mitch starting a new job and a relationship with Sabrina, both having grown from the experience.
