TERMINATOR script

In 1984 Los Angeles, a cyborg assassin known as the Terminator arrives from the future to kill Sarah Connor, whose unborn son, John, will lead the human resistance against the machines, while Kyle Reese, a human soldier also from the future, protects her. Reese explains the future war and his mission to Sarah, who initially disbelieves him but soon witnesses the Terminator's inhuman resilience and relentless pursuit, forcing them to flee and realize the full extent of the threat. As they prepare for a final stand, Reese and Sarah grow closer, eventually becoming intimate, and Reese reveals he is John's father before sacrificing himself in a factory chase to destroy the Terminator's organic shell, leaving its metal endoskeleton. Sarah ultimately crushes the endoskeleton in a hydraulic press, and months later, a pregnant Sarah, hardened and determined, drives alone through Mexico, recording tapes for her unborn son, fully embracing her destiny as the mother of humanity's future leader.

Dialogue examples

Thank you, mother. You have borne me and taught me well and in a way I will have borne you and taught you. The future is not irrevocable, but depends solely upon your will. There is no fate but what we make. You must be strong... stronger than you imagine you can be.

Kyle Reese / Scene 13

... and the hardest thing is trying to decide what I should tell you and what not, but anyway, whatever I record now I can always cut out before you're old enough to understand the tapes. At this point they're more for me... to help get it all straight.

Sarah Connor / Scene 18

Your clothes will fit. Give them to me.
