Gabriel Shear, a criminal mastermind, recruits disgraced hacker Stanley Jobson to steal billions from a secret government fund, promising Stanley custody of his daughter. Stanley agrees, unaware that Gabriel plans to use the money for vigilantism and that Gabriel's associate, Ginger, is a DEA agent, leading to a chaotic bank heist with hostages. During the heist, Stanley seemingly sabotages the transfer, leading to Ginger's apparent death and Gabriel's escape in a helicopter, which Stanley then shoots down. Ultimately, Gabriel and Ginger are revealed to have faked their deaths, successfully transferring the money and escaping, leaving Stanley to reunite with his daughter, having outsmarted everyone.
