Speed Racer, a talented young driver, is haunted by the mysterious death of his older brother, Rex Racer, a former racing legend. E.P. Arnold Remmington, the manipulative head of Remmington Industries, attempts to recruit Speed, but Speed declines, choosing to remain an independent racer with his family's team. Speed, Trixie, and the Racer family join forces with the enigmatic Racer X and Inspector Detector to expose Remmington's illegal race-fixing syndicate, which controls the World Racing League.
