Engineer Jimmy Anderson joins Captain Anton Balvenie, Flight Specialist Tilda Genero, and Crew Member Valentina Novak at the Western Alliance Sanitation Station, where a debris collision leads them to salvage a stolen Time Cube that activates and causes strange occurrences, including Tilda encountering a duplicate of herself. The crew discovers the Time Cube has created a time loop, causing the station to decay, while scientist Gary Pinback, transformed into a sentient rubber duck, terrorizes them, prompting Tilda to reveal she is a robot designed to protect the Time Cube from Gary's attempts to escape his new form. Anton confronts the mutated Gary in a violent struggle while Jimmy and Tilda work to stabilize the Time Cube, which, after a tender moment between Anton and Valentina, warps the station away. The station stabilizes, receives a call from Ground Control for debris removal, which Anton and Valentina complete, and Tilda and Jimmy look out at Earth, having successfully resolved the crisis and returned the station to normal operations.
