1986
NYPD detective Mike Keegan is assigned to protect socialite Claire Gregory, a murder witness, from dangerous criminal Joey Venza. Despite their initial clashes, Mike and Claire develop a passionate affair, complicating Mike's marriage as Venza repeatedly targets Claire and then Mike's family. Venza's escalating threats force Mike to choose between his duty to Claire and his commitment to his family.
