2004
Grant Grant transforms into a monstrous alien after being infected by a spore, abducting and consuming townspeople, including Brenda Gutierrez, whom he plans to impregnate. His wife, Starla, and Chief Bill Pardy discover his horrifying transformation and the subsequent infection of most townspeople by alien slugs, turning them into zombie-like drones. As the infected overwhelm the survivors, Starla sacrifices herself to confront Grant, but he escapes, leaving her to discover Bill has also been infected. Starla kills Bill, ending the alien threat but leaving her the sole survivor of the horrific invasion.
