SHIFTY script

Shifty, a young drug dealer, navigates a single day in Dudlowe with his recently returned best friend, Chris, who is trying to convince Shifty to leave their troubled town. Shifty confronts rival dealer Glen Dowdy about rumors and stolen drugs, escalating tensions while dealing with his brother Rez's disapproval and the increasing desperation of drug addict Trevor. Trevor, struggling with his addiction and a pregnant partner, Jasmine, becomes increasingly agitated after Shifty ignores his calls and he fails to secure money or drugs. As Shifty and Chris attempt to secure their drug supply and deal with local users, they are pursued by Glen's heavies, leading to a violent confrontation where Chris assaults Glen. Shifty records evidence of Glen's illicit activities and Trevor's assault, ultimately leaving the footage and money for Rez before he and Chris board a coach, leaving Dudlowe behind as Loretta discovers Glen dead in his flat.
