Rushmore script

Max Fischer, an eccentric and ambitious fifteen-year-old student at Rushmore Academy, falls in love with first-grade teacher Rosemary Cross, while also befriending wealthy industrialist Herman Blume. Max's academic struggles lead to his expulsion from Rushmore, forcing him to attend public school, but he continues to pursue Rosemary and stage elaborate plays. A rivalry develops between Max and Herman for Rosemary's affection, escalating into a series of pranks and betrayals that strain their friendship. Max eventually reconciles with Herman and Rosemary, finding a new sense of purpose in directing a play inspired by his life experiences, which receives critical acclaim and brings him closer to his new girlfriend, Margaret Yang. The film concludes with Max, Herman, and Rosemary finding peace and happiness at the Heaven and Hell Cotillion dance, celebrating Max's success and their renewed bonds.

No. Please, don't come in here. Look. I'm sorry I hurt you. I'm sorry I love your friend instead of you. But just. Please, Max.

My name's Max Fischer. I just wanted to tell you, I strongly agree with your views concerning Rushmore.

May I cut in? I haven't had a change to cut a rug with your new girlfriend yet.
