1984
Fired from his job, punk Otto becomes a repo man under Bud, learning the trade amidst rivalries and the pursuit of a mysterious 1964 Chevrolet Malibu. The Malibu, driven by scientist J. Frank Parnell, contains extraterrestrial beings and is sought by government agents and a secret sect due to its dangerous trunk. Otto becomes entangled in the Malibu's pursuit, which involves its theft by the Rodriguez brothers, recovery by Parnell, and a violent confrontation with his punk friends and government agents. Ultimately, Otto joins Bud in the glowing Malibu, and they drive off into the night as the car ascends into the sky.
