2002
Barry Egan, a lonely and socially anxious man, runs a novelty business and is constantly badgered by his seven overbearing sisters. After a family party, Barry calls a phone sex line, which leads to him being extorted and harassed by Dean Trumbell, the owner of the phone sex service. Barry meets Lena Leonard, a woman who works with his sister, and they quickly fall in love, despite Barry's occasional violent outbursts. When Dean's thugs attack Barry and Lena, Barry travels to Utah to confront Dean, threatening him into leaving them alone. Barry returns to Lena, apologizes for his behavior, and she accepts him, bringing his harmonium to his warehouse where they embrace, finally finding peace together.
