Seymour S. Sassafras introduces the tale of Peter Cottontail Junior, an inventive young bunny whose father, Peter Cottontail Senior, manages the April Valley candy factory. Peter Senior, concerned by Junior's modern ideas, assigns him the important task of polishing the Clock of Spring, a magical artifact that controls the seasons. Meanwhile, the villainous Irontail, a former Easter Bunny with a mechanical tail, forms an alliance with the vain sorceress Jackie Frost to steal the Clock of Spring and freeze the world. Junior, with the help of his friends Antoine the caterpillar, Flutter the robin, and Munch the mouse, must protect the Clock of Spring from Irontail and Jackie Frost to ensure Easter arrives and spring can begin.
