Eleven-year-old Norman Babcock, who can see ghosts, is tasked by his uncle to perform a ritual at a witch's grave to prevent a 300-year-old curse. When the curse awakens, zombies invade the town, forcing Norman and a group of unlikely companions to find the witch's grave to stop the escalating chaos. Norman confronts the ghost of Agatha, the witch, and helps her understand that her anger is causing harm, allowing her to find peace and lift the curse. As the zombies return to their graves, Norman's family begins to accept his unique ability, leading to a more harmonious home life.
