Panic Room script

Recently separated Meg Altman and her diabetic daughter, Sarah, move into a New York City townhouse with a high-tech panic room, which three intruders soon attempt to breach for a hidden fortune. Meg and Sarah secure themselves inside, but Sarah's insulin is left outside, leading to a diabetic seizure that forces Meg to retrieve her medicine amidst the escalating conflict. After Meg gets the medicine to Sarah, who is then injected by Burnham inside the panic room, the police arrive, and Meg works to prevent Raoul from re-entering. Raoul is inadvertently killed by the panic room door, Burnham is shot by the police, and Meg and Sarah, safe, later relax in Central Park.

Dialogue examples

Reinforced steel core walls. Buried phone line, completely separate, not connected to the house's main line and never exposed throughout the house's infrastructure or outside the house -- you can call the police; nobody can cut you off. Your own ventilation system, complete with oxygen scrubber, so you've got plenty of fresh air for as long as you like. And a bank of video monitors -- covering almost every corner of the house.

Evan / Scene 3

Absolutely! You're a woman, you're living alone now. Your alarm goes off, or you head glass break, or for whatever reason you think someone's broken into your home in the middle of the night. What are you going to do? Call the police and wait until they get here on Tuesday? Traipse downstairs in your sexy little underthings and check it out? I think not!

Lydia Lynch / Scene 3

I mean, uptown is close to Dad's place, but somebody at school said the Village is really cool, so... I don't know, it's so great to be close to the park and everything... What do you think, I mean, give me a clue, here, where are we gonna live?

Sarah Altman / Scene 31

Things, and if I can't prove to my soon to-be ex-husband that I can provide a suitable place for our daughter to live in the next fourteen days, it's going to get ugly between us. Uglier.

Meg Altman / Scene 2

Top floor, get the little girl and keep her there. I'll bring the woman up. Gimme.

Junior / Scene 6

STOP IT, MAN, STOP IT, THAT'S HIS KID IN THERE, HIS KID IS WATCHING THIS!!

Burnham / Scene 17

It's not like Saks', Mom, you don't have to pay the price on the tag.

Sarah Altman / Scene 2

DON'T DO IT! NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, DON'T OPEN THE DOOR! DON'T O --

Harris / Scene 15
