PACIFIC RIM script analysis
Raleigh Beckett, traumatized by a kaiju battle that killed his brother, is reluctant to pilot the Jaeger Gipsy Danger again. Scientist Newt Gotlieb and journalist drifter Mako Mori team up to close the interdimensional breach that lets kaiju through. Raleigh and Mako overcome personal demons and forge a telepathic bond as they partner for a suicidal mission to collapse the breach with a nuclear device.
