Napoleon Dynamite, a socially awkward high school student, lives with his internet-obsessed brother Kip and their grandmother in Preston, Idaho. When Grandma is injured in a dune buggy accident, their eccentric Uncle Rico moves in, disrupting their lives with his get-rich-quick schemes and obsession with his past football glory. Napoleon befriends new student Pedro Sanchez and the entrepreneurial Deb, helping Pedro run for class president against the popular Summer Wheatly. As the election approaches, Kip prepares for his wedding to his online girlfriend Lafawnduh, and Napoleon performs an unexpected dance routine to help Pedro win the presidency.
