1999
After a freak accident, cartoonist Stu Miley falls into a coma and finds himself in Dark Town, a nightmare realm, while his cartoon creation, Monkeybone, becomes real. Stu and Monkeybone steal an E-ticket from Death to return to the living world, but Monkeybone tricks Stu, possesses his body, and leaves Stu trapped in Dark Town. With the help of Kitty, Stu escapes, makes a deal with Death to return to the living for one hour in an organ donor's body, and races to stop Monkeybone from proposing to Julie. Stu confronts Monkeybone, they battle and fall, and Death intervenes, returning Stu to his own body so he can reunite with Julie and propose.
