Ben Carson, a former NYPD detective, takes a night watchman job at the burnt-out Mayflower department store, where he discovers mysterious handprints and visions in the store's numerous mirrors. He learns that the previous watchman, Gary Lewis, died mysteriously after becoming obsessed with the mirrors, and Ben's sister, Angela, is brutally killed by her own reflection, leading police to suspect Ben. Ben discovers that the mirrors are possessed by a demon that was trapped inside Anna Esseker, a former patient of St. John's Hospital, who was subjected to a radical mirror-based therapy by her doctor father, and the demon was released when the Mayflower burned down. Ben finds Anna, now a nun, and forces her to return to the Mayflower to confront the demon, while his family is attacked by reflections in their home, and his son, Michael, is pulled into the mirror world.
