The Power Rangers, including Tommy Oliver, Kimberly Hart, Billy Cranston, Aisha Campbell, Adam Park, and Rocky DeSantos, are preparing for a charity skydive when their mentor, Zordon, warns them about the ancient, evil being Ivan Ooze, who has been accidentally released by Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa. Ivan Ooze attacks the Command Center, severely injuring Zordon and destroying the Rangers' powers, forcing them to travel to the distant planet Phaedos to seek new powers from the warrior Dulcea. On Phaedos, Dulcea trains the Rangers in the art of Ninjetti, helping them to unlock their animal spirits and gain new abilities, while Ivan Ooze takes over Angel Grove, enslaving parents and unleashing his Ecto-Morphicon machines to destroy the city. The Rangers return to Angel Grove with their new Ninjetti powers and Zords, battling Ivan Ooze and his Ecto-Morphicons, ultimately defeating Ivan Ooze by sending him into the path of a comet, which destroys him. With Ivan Ooze defeated, the Rangers use their new powers to restore Zordon to health and rebuild the Command Center, bringing peace back to Angel Grove.
