Midnight Cowboy script

Naive Texan Joe Buck arrives in New York City hoping to become a successful hustler but instead faces failure and humiliation. He forms an unlikely friendship with the sickly con man Enrico "Ratso" Rizzo, and as Ratso's health declines, Joe takes odd jobs to fund their dream move to Florida. Joe secures money from a client and violently robs another man to buy bus tickets for their journey south. During the bus ride, Ratso's condition tragically worsens, and he dies just as they reach Florida, leaving Joe heartbroken and alone.

Dialogue examples

Well, I am dumb, that's for sure. I don't talk right. I can't think too good. Just only one thing I ever been good for's loving. Women go crazy for me. Fact. Crazy Annie. Had to send her away. So I don't cash in on that, what am I? I'm shee-it. May's well flush me down that hole with the dishwater.
