MANHATTAN MURDER MYSTERY script

Bored Carol Lipton suspects her neighbor Paul murdered his wife Lilian, leading her and friend Ted to investigate and discover inconsistencies in his story. Their amateur sleuthing escalates when they find a body in a hotel room that disappears, only to later locate Lilian's body and witness Paul disposing of it, revealing he murdered her and replaced her with her twin for insurance. Carol, Larry, Ted, and Marcia devise a plan to trap Paul at his movie house, using a fake body and a recorded message as bait. During a climactic confrontation, Larry saves Carol from Paul's attack, leading to Paul's arrest and rekindling Larry and Carol's relationship.
