Jaded jingle writer Harvey Shine travels to London for his estranged daughter's wedding, where he is sidelined by his ex-wife and misses the ceremony due to traffic, leading him to an airport bar. After a heartfelt speech to his daughter and a piano performance for Kate, Harvey suffers a heart attack and is hospitalized, leaving Kate to believe he abandoned her when he doesn't show for their planned meeting.
