1984
After escaping a Shanghai crime lord and crash-landing in India, Indiana Jones, Willie Scott, and Short Round discover a desolate village whose children and sacred Sankara Stone have been stolen. They journey to Pankot Palace, uncovering a secret Thuggee cult led by Mola Ram, who enslaves children to mine for more Sankara Stones and performs human sacrifices. The trio is captured, and Indiana is briefly entranced by Mola Ram, but Short Round breaks the spell, allowing Indiana to free the children and retrieve the stones. Indiana battles Mola Ram in a mine cart chase and a rope bridge confrontation, leading to Mola Ram's death, and the heroes return the children and the Sankara Stone to the grateful village.
