Meanwhile, Duncan MacLeod is impaled, rescued, and interrogated by a Watcher named Matthew, who warns him about a renegade Immortal threat. Duncan's past is explored through flashbacks, showing him marrying Kate, making love to Faith in the present, and ultimately killing Kate to make her an Immortal.
