HIGHLANDER script

Conor MacLeod, an immortal warrior born in 15th century Scotland, is introduced in the present day as Richard Taupin, an antique dealer, who is targeted by another immortal, The Knight. After being mortally wounded in a clan battle, Conor miraculously recovers, leading to his banishment and subsequent training by the immortal Spaniard Juan Cid Romirez, who explains the rules of their existence: they can only be killed by decapitation and must fight until only one remains to claim “The Prize.” In the present, historian Brenna Cartwright investigates the mysterious beheadings linked to Taupin, gradually uncovering his true identity and the ancient conflict between immortals. The Knight, a ruthless immortal who killed Romirez centuries ago, escalates his attacks, forcing Taupin to confront his past and protect Brenna, who has become deeply involved in his dangerous world. In a final confrontation at the Jefferson Memorial, Taupin defeats The Knight, claiming The Prize and gaining ultimate knowledge, which he chooses to share with Brenna as they reunite, embracing a future where humanity can benefit from his newfound wisdom.
