GROSSE POINTE BLANK script

Professional assassin Martin Blank, experiencing a mid-life crisis, attends his ten-year high school reunion in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, hoping to reconnect with his ex-girlfriend, Debi Newberry. As Martin attempts to rekindle his relationship with Debi and explain his past disappearance, he is simultaneously pursued by a rival assassin, Grocer, who wants him to join a union, and two government agents. The reunion devolves into chaos when Grocer and other hitmen attack Martin at Debi's house, resulting in a violent shootout and Grocer's death. In the aftermath, Martin proposes to Debi, and they reunite at a Frank Lloyd Wright house, discussing their future together, implying his successful transition away from his life as a hitman.
