1970
Former piano prodigy Robert Dupea works as an oil rig laborer, living a blue-collar life with his girlfriend Rayette, but decides to visit his estranged, ailing father. He reluctantly brings Rayette to his intellectual family home, where he reconnects with siblings and begins an affair with his brother's girlfriend, Catherine. Rayette's unexpected arrival exposes Bobby's two disparate lives, leading to confrontations with his family and Catherine, and an emotional conversation with his incapacitated father.
