2003
Marlin, an overprotective clownfish, loses his wife Coral and all but one of their eggs to a barracuda attack, leaving him with his son Nemo, who has a smaller, 'lucky' fin. On Nemo's first day of school, Marlin's fears lead him to embarrass Nemo, who then defiantly swims towards a boat and is captured by scuba divers. Marlin embarks on a perilous journey across the ocean to find Nemo, reluctantly joined by Dory, a blue tang with short-term memory loss, encountering vegetarian sharks, a dangerous jellyfish forest, and a laid-back sea turtle named Crush. Meanwhile, Nemo finds himself in a dentist's fish tank in Sydney, where he befriends the 'Tank Gang' led by the scarred Moorish idol Gill, and they plot various escape attempts to return Nemo to the ocean.
