Albus Dumbledore tasks Newt Scamander and his team with stopping Gellert Grindelwald, who has stolen a Qilin to manipulate the election for the Supreme Head of the International Confederation of Wizards. Grindelwald gains political influence in Berlin and attempts to assassinate a candidate, while Credence Barebone grapples with his loyalty and health. At the election ceremony in Bhutan, Grindelwald uses a reanimated Qilin to declare himself Supreme Head, but Newt exposes his deception by revealing the true Qilin. The true Qilin bows to Vicência Santos, who becomes the new Supreme Head, and with Grindelwald defeated, Jacob and Queenie marry as Dumbledore reconciles with his family.

All right, then. I imagine you're all wondering why you find yourselves here. Dumbledore asked that I convey a message: Grindelwald has the ability to see snatches of the future. So if we hope to defeat him, and to save our world... to save your world, Jacob... then our best hope is to confuse him.
If we are to defeat him, the Qilin is only part of it. The world as we know it is coming undone. Gellert is pulling it apart with hate, bigotry.
