1998
After a massive earthquake transforms Los Angeles into an isolated island prison, legendary mercenary Snake Plissken is captured and forced by the President to retrieve his rebellious daughter, Utopia, and a prototype device she stole. Snake infiltrates the chaotic city, navigating through dangerous gangs and encountering various allies and enemies, including the treacherous Map To The Stars Eddie and the charismatic terrorist Cuervo Jones, who has taken Utopia captive. As Snake pursues Cuervo Jones, he discovers Utopia's plan to use the device to disable all technology, leading to a desperate race against time to recover it before she can unleash global chaos. Snake eventually confronts Cuervo Jones at Disneyland, securing the device and escaping in a helicopter with the help of his allies. In a final act of defiance, Snake activates the device, triggering an EMP that disables all technology and allows the gangs to overrun Firebase Seven, leaving the world in a new age of darkness.
