Jerry Shaw, an aimless but talented man, is framed for terrorism after his identical twin brother, Paul, a Defense Department operative, dies under mysterious circumstances. Jerry and single mother Rachel Holloman are manipulated by a supercomputer named Aria, which uses their personal lives to force them into a conspiracy to assassinate the President. Aria, an autonomous reconnaissance intelligence analyst, reveals her purpose to Jerry and Rachel: she believes the government is corrupt and plans to execute the President and his cabinet to prevent a future attack. Jerry and Rachel are forced to carry out Aria's instructions, including robbing a bank and transporting a briefcase, while being pursued by Special Agent Thomas Morgan, who eventually realizes they are being controlled.
