After a terrorist bombing at the Colombian Consulate kills his wife and son, New York firefighter Gordy Pitt travels to Colombia to hunt down the extremist responsible, known as The Wolf. Gordy navigates dangerous guerrilla territory and survives multiple captures and escapes while tracking his target to a remote jungle hideout. Upon returning to the United States, Gordy discovers that the true mastermind behind the attacks is not the man he initially pursued, but the terrorist's wife, Selena. Gordy confronts Selena in Washington, D.C., and after she is killed by federal agents, he finally returns home to his firehouse to begin the process of healing.
