BUCKAROO BANZAI: Across The Eighth Dimension script

World-famous neurosurgeon, physicist, and rock star Buckaroo Banzai successfully tests his Oscillation Overthruster, a device that allows objects to pass through solid matter and travel into the Eighth Dimension, but his experiment inadvertently frees the evil alien Lord John Whorfin, who has been trapped on Earth in the body of Dr. Emilio Lizardo since 1938. Whorfin, a Red Lectroid alien, plans to steal the Overthruster to return to his home planet, Planet 10, and lead an invasion of Earth, while the benevolent Black Lectroids, led by John Emdall, warn Buckaroo that if Whorfin is not stopped, they will destroy Earth to prevent his escape. Buckaroo and his Hong Kong Cavaliers, along with the mysterious Penny Priddy, who bears a striking resemblance to Buckaroo's deceased wife, infiltrate Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems, Whorfin's front company, to retrieve the Overthruster and rescue Professor Hikita, Buckaroo's mentor, who has been kidnapped by Whorfin's henchmen. After a chaotic battle within Yoyodyne, Buckaroo and his team recover the Overthruster and confront Whorfin in his spaceship, ultimately destroying his vessel and preventing his escape to Planet 10, thus saving Earth from both the Red Lectroid invasion and the Black Lectroid's retaliatory destruction.
