1994
Detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey investigate a drug theft and the murders of their informants, leading them to protect the sole witness, Julie Mott, while comically posing as each other. Their deception is tested through shootouts and car chases as Fouchet's men relentlessly pursue Julie, who is eventually kidnapped by Fouchet from Lowrey's condo. The detectives discover a police insider aided Fouchet, leading them to a final confrontation at an airfield hangar where Fouchet plans to sell the stolen drugs. A massive shootout ensues, destroying the drugs and killing Fouchet's men, before Captain Howard snipes Fouchet, allowing Julie's rescue and the case's resolution.
