Armageddon script

When an asteroid the size of Texas is discovered to be on a collision course with Earth, NASA recruits oil driller Harry S. Stamper and his team to destroy it. Harry, his daughter Grace, and chief driller A.J. Frost undergo rapid astronaut training before launching two shuttles toward the asteroid. After one shuttle crashes and their drill breaks, Harry's team faces a ticking clock as the asteroid hurtles toward Earth. Harry sacrifices himself to manually detonate a nuclear bomb, successfully splitting the asteroid and saving Earth, allowing the surviving crew to return home as heroes.
