Dissatisfied 36-year-old Mike O'Donnell magically transforms into his 17-year-old self, enrolling in high school as "Mark" to guide his children and mend his estranged relationship with his wife, Scarlet. As Mark, Mike navigates teenage life, protecting his daughter Maggie from a bully and helping his son Alex with basketball and confidence, while inadvertently causing awkward situations as Maggie develops a crush on him and Scarlet is attracted to his youthful persona. During a pivotal basketball game, Mike reveals his true identity to Scarlet, transforming back into his adult self after a heartfelt conversation and a kiss. Reunited and with a renewed appreciation for his family, Mike interrupts Scarlet's divorce hearing to express his love, leading to their reconciliation and a second chance at their marriage.
